Apple picking!

After apple picking, Justin and Lilly found some hay bales and jumped from one to the next (to the next to the next), back and forth and back and forth (and so on...)

First day of preschool!

We spent Saturday and Sunday at the PGA Championship at the Ocean Course on Kiawah Island, SC. We weren't really supposed to have cameras on the course but we got a few covert pics. Top to bottom, the leader board on Sunday morning, the championship flag, Tiger at the driving range, us at the 18th fairway just before the last group came through.

Lilly had the opportunity to take swim lessons this summer. She has always loved the water but didn't much like them asking her to do things she didn't feel ready to do. After she finished, we had a celebration for her to honor the fact that she stuck with it even though she would have quit if I'd let her! Next up, dance and gymnastics classes! She's pretty excited about that.

After our trip to VA we visited with Justin's parents in GA and went together with them to FL. The tropical storm missed us for the most part but we had one day of rain, high winds and big waves. It was our first full day there so we made our way down to the beach anyway. The rest of the week was gorgeous but I didn't take many pictures! So here are a couple pics of us in the rain. :) 

We had a great, great visit with the Parks before they headed off to Eastern Europe! From top to bottom: roasting marshmallows; the grown-ups biking the High Bridge Trail in VA; yogurt at Sweet Frog (the first of MANY yogurt places for Lilly this summer!).

In April, we had the opportunity to take some teammates to one of our favorite places!  One afternoon we got to visit some hiking trails where we've spent a lot of time in the past.  We had a great time walking and hiking, and Lilly was a great little climber!  (You might notice that I had to tie her hat on with a scarf because the wind was so strong and her hat wouldn't stay on!)

Lilly loves pretty much any living thing, big or small. Look closely at the first picture and you'll see a tiny lizard on her arm. Then today someone brought us a chameleon they had found and thought Lilly would enjoy it. She let it walk all over her arms and around her back, and it decided that it liked the middle of her dress the best. It stayed there for a while, even hanging on as she ran to the playground! (You can see that in the last picture if you look closely again.)

We had a great time at the giraffe center on Friday! This is our third time to take Lilly, and she gets more and more involved each time. But, a day with Lilly would not be complete without finding something to jump! She jumped the holes up and down this sidewalk quite a few times before our morning there was over!

After our Skype party with Grams and Papa Lee, we went to one of our favorite places outside of town where we went on a walk, saw monkeys, went swimming and had a great lunch together. Then we got home and had another Skype party with Nana and Poppy and got to talk to Tanya and Jon, too! We now have one sugar-filled, exhausted four-year-old, but it's been an awesome day!!

Grams and Papa Lee stayed up until midnight last night in order to be part of the birthday morning. We put four candles in a doughnut and she got to open gifts from them on video Skype.

We went on a safari day with some of our very best friends. Lilly rotated between looking out the windows and sitting on the floor playing with her toys. This was Lilly's first safari and she enjoyed it thoroughly, and did a great job with all the time in the safari van. One of the day's highlights was seeing a female lion up in a tree. (Last pic.)
